The Role:

At Ticketmaster, we are building a new platform for live entertainment.  Over the past 4 years, our API has gone from a $1 million/year to $1 billion/year, including through mobile initiatives.  Today we sell tickets not only on but on partner e-commerce sites and the biggest social networks.  As we continue to grow we need outstanding Java engineers.  That’s where you come in.

Potential projects include:

  • API serving B2C and B2B applications with data to power the interactive seat map
  • A new open platform that allows partners to syndicate Ticketmaster content
  • Web applications including the next generation of B2B applications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred
  • Experience with Java ecosystem
  • Familiarity with one or more scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl and Bash
  • Previous work with Agile and Lean practices preferred
  • Displays a solid grasp of building new frameworks, tools or systems
  • Ability to bring creative technical solutions to the table and design solutions at scale
  • Has solid understanding of system topologies from machine architecture to network architecture
  • Passion for learning, collaborating and building
