The role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Analyst who is able to turn data into actionable insights.  The Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing large volume of transactional and customer data, as well as other data mining functions.  He/she will be working with both internal and external clients to evaluate their needs and develop analysis plans and reports to drive insights and facilitate decision processes.  The ideal candidate is analytical and a problem solver with strong SQL and statistical skills.

What the job is:

  • Write and execute SQL queries to extract, transform, restructure and aggregate data from transaction and consumer databases
  • Gather and manipulate large data sets required from various sources for reporting
  • Process and standardize data from internal and external sources
  • Process data and perform data quality assurance procedures
  • Create new data attributes and metrics for analysis
  • Work with stakeholders to scope project requirements, formulate research hypothesis, and develop and execute analysis plans
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and generate reports in responding to business questions and requests
  • Analyze data, interpret results to identify trends and insights and provide recommendations based on findings
  • Design, develop, build, and maintain reports using SQL
  • Perform hands-on predictive analysis (e.g., prospect and retention modeling) and data mining
  • Create PowerPoint presentation and Present and communicate key findings to stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

What a qualified candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – quantitative focus (statistics, math, computer science) or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of data analysis experience
  • Working knowledge in relational database and 3+ of experience writing SQL queries
  • Ability to use advanced Excel features
  • Understanding in statistics and research methods
  • R and Python experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate analytical results and insights to wide range of audiences
  • Strong written and verbal communication and quantitative skills
