Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related preferred
  • Experience with E-Commerce systems and common web and mobile protocols
  • Experience with ELK stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) is desirable
  • Experience with ad hoc database querying
  • Experience with log analysis tools and techniques is preferred
  • Understanding of Streaming technologies (Storm/Kafka/Zookeeper) is desirable
  • Understanding of Distributed Computing frameworks and technologies (Hadoop, HDFS, etc) is desirable
  • Familiarity with Unix based systems and tools is preferred
  • Experience with Agile and Lean practices preferred
  • Experience with the AWS ecosystem is a plus
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Passion for finding patterns and discerning the truth in obfuscated data
  • Passion for learning, collaborating and building
  • Effective communication skills and enjoying work as part of a team

Job duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Be part of a dynamic, highly-focused team that is responsible for providing machine-learning insights and SW products that engage Ticketmaster’s 170+MM users
  • Support and report on the systems that stream and analyze very large data sets
  • Analyze patterns of traffic and usage, and develop techniques and process for automating this analysis
  • Targeted research into patterns of traffic and usage, and develop techniques and process for automating this analysis
  • Reporting of findings in a comprehensive and human readable format
  • Support and improve the metrics collection and monitoring systems that allow us keep the data flowing within our SLAs
  • Participate in decisions involved with managing projects and roadmap
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders on production metrics and project status
  • Develop visualization tools to support pattern analysis and story telling
