The Role:

Ticketmaster is currently looking for a Mid-Weight Designer to join a progressive, high-energy creative marketing team in their Hollywood headquarters. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of experience in both/either web and print. Individual must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team and with other departments. Must be resourceful and be able to understand the full breadth of how the company works together. Individual must be detail-oriented, organized and efficient. Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines is a must. We are looking for a “Swiss-army knife” designer – able to roll up their sleeves from digital to print to production. This is for the Ticketmaster brand creative and marketing department. Think of it as an internal design and creative shop that handles a large variety of design requests. From print to digital and so on – you name it.

Design/produce web and print creative for brand and marketing initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to: banner design/web ads, original marketing campaigns (both creation and implementation), UX knowledge and responsive site design, email marketing, logo design, brochures, print materials & PowerPoint. This position will involve production, creative and working with solid brand understanding – so time management and ability is important. Creativity, drive and strong skill set required.

  • Must love design and know how it affects brands and our world. This means pitching and explaining your design thought process.
  • Strong digital experience: Banner design, web, email design and of course social design.
  • Print: page layout, working with photography (retouching and color-correction) typography, pre-press & package/POS design. You should be able to set up and package an ad for print.
  • Be a brand believer. Understand the fundamentals of how brands work and design’s relationship that.
  • Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign required.
  • PowerPoint familiarity. Sorry.
  • Understanding of UX design – Must have the ability to design and discuss responsively and mobile first.
  • Must not be “too good for” production work. At first, this will be a support position. This means picking up a bunch of random, sometimes, heavy quantities of production work and supporting the current design team make their deadlines.
