The role:

As our Head of Cost and Operational Efficiency, you will be responsible for leading the efforts of optimizing the cost structure of Ticketmaster, analyzing all of our fixed and variable.  You will assess high impact opportunities to reduce operation costs and implement such initiatives. With a highly analytical mind, you will view the business from many different levels and interact effectively with business stakeholders and with all levels of management in our organization including C-level executives.  In short, you are responsible for tearing apart Ticketmaster’s cost base and figuring out where we can and should improve.

What the job is:

  • Conduct rigorous analysis of Ticketmaster’s historical and existing cost base, understanding trends and underlying drivers of growth over time
  • Determine viability of cost optimization opportunities through quantitative analysis and operational/technical feasibility analysis
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders (internal and external) to develop initiatives to optimize cost structure
  • Make recommendations and communicate results of analysis to senior management
  • Set up processes to track impact of initiatives and regularly inform company leaders
  • Manage multiple initiatives at once and prioritize based on business needs and urgency

What a qualified candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, business or similar quantitative field
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of work experience (2+ years post MBA), preferably in a private equity firm, strategy consulting firm or investment bank
  • Ecommerce/entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of income and cash flow statements, balance sheets and GAAP
  • Highly proficient at financial modeling, Excel, communication, and PowerPoint
  • Superior problem solving, cost cutting, and issue resolution skills
  • Assertive yet professional demeanor; persistent and willing to lead the way
  • Extraordinary team player with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high growth, entrepreneurial environment where quality, innovation, speed of decision making and execution are critical to organizational success
