Title:   Scrum Master

The Scrum Master is an integral part of Front Gate’s dynamic and fast-paced Product Development Department where we practice Agile development processes.  The right individual will thrive in a collaborative environment serving in a scrum master role within scrum teams as well as in a traditional project management role within the company as needed.  This role is responsible for providing consistent, effective management of projects and initiatives related to the Department’s processes and scrum teams.     



  • Serve as Scrum Master for multiple teams promoting empowerment of the team, ensuring team members are fully engaged and making meaningful contributions, and encouraging a sustainable pace with high-levels of quality for the team
  • Support Product Owners in managing customer expectations for project deliverables and managing stakeholder communications
  • Help leadership manage and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management and Scaled Agile
  • Identify and remove impediments for the Scrum teams directly or via escalation
  • Work with Technology and Product Leadership on release planning
  • Demonstrate understanding of product vision and roadmap by reinforcing overarching product and company objectives to teams
  • Manage project scope and project schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings as needed; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 3+ years of experience with agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
  • 3+ years of experience with software project and program management
  • Experience with Jira, Jira Portfolio and other products within the Atlassian toolbox
  • Scrum Master Certification and experience with Scaled Agile processes a plus
  • Strong grasp of technical concepts and software usage and development
  • Fast learner, self-starter, and independent thinker
  • Collaborative, optimistic and resourceful team player
  • Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams but also with other departments and organizations
  • Ability to occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary
