The role:

Reporting to the Event Support Manger, the Event Support Specialist role entails a high level of interaction and communication with our clients as well as with our internal teams involved in creating event listings. The incumbent of this role is responsible for collecting, reviewing, and inputting accurate data into Ticketmaster’s proprietary Host programming system, following procedural best practices and established standards, and verifying the output. The tool knowledge set for the position includes Host and Host applications, EventPro, and EMT.  (Note: This position does not involve event planning).

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate with venues and event promoters to collect, review, consult and accurately input event data into Ticketmaster Host system
  • On-going and timely communication with clients to verify submitted information and successfully complete client requests
  • Identify and provide resolutions for event ticketing related issues
  • Understand and interpret contractual elements as they relate to the setting and supporting requirements of event ticketing
  • Use procedural “best practices” and established standards to input event data
  • Perform quality assurance checks, ensuring accuracy for both individual and team assignments
  • Develop and apply knowledge of event programming as it relates to sales channels and consumer experience
  • Able to work seamlessly as part of a client account team, from an Operational/Programming perspective
  • Meet and exceed Event Management service level agreements
  • Develop and maintain excellent  interdepartmental and client relationships
  • Other duties as assigned by regional or area leadership

What you need on your resume:

  • Candidate must be fully bilingual in English & French (both oral & written)
  • 1-4 years’ experience with a ticketing system, or related programming experience
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree, or equivalent experience required
  • Box Office experience considered a strong asset
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office) with excellent data entry skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Background in customer service, possessing a “can-do”, service oriented approach
  • Demonstrated organizational and critical thinking skills, paired with a keen attention to detail
  • Able to successfully manage multiple and competing priorities in a time sensitive environment 
  • Solution focused, able to work under minimal supervision and take initiative
  • Reliable, adaptable and team-oriented
  • A passion for live events and desire to learn about the entertainment industry!
