As an experienced Visual Storyteller, you have adopted a unique design approach to communicating and problem solving, and you are able to influence others to do the same. You have the ability to parse tough-to-grasp, complex information down to its barest essentials to make it easy to understand by employing visual storytelling methods and techniques that captivate, entertain and hold the audience’s attention so they retain that information. In this role you will:
Work with lead designer, senior stakeholders and product designers to develop visual communications and presentations
Design customer journey maps, empathy maps, infographics and other materials in support of the product development team
Employ visual storytelling to create best-in-class executive presentations as well as internal tools to help facilitate organizational change
Design emails, case studies and print materials for the marketing and trade show teams
Promote continual creative improvement and contribute to a culture of craftsmanship, excellence and accountability
Experience working closely with executives to develop internal and external communications including key messaging and content development
Have a track record of pioneering strategies and techniques for communicating news and information to audiences in a way that inspires, informs, and galvanizes action
Area visual problem solving; have the ability to present complex information in a simplified, digestible, delightful way
Partner with lead designer to concept brand design solutions that meet business objectives
Strong understanding of typography, color, composition and hierarchy and how these elements interact to create compelling design solutions
Able to manage multiple projects from start to finish including communicating with marketing and communication team members and securing and recording stakeholder approvals
Bring enthusiasm to the work, and are confident, inspired, and highly motivated about making a difference
5-10+ years related professional experience
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent 4 years experience)
Expertise in current design tools including Adobe CC and Sketch as well as Powerpoint and Keynote
Mailchimp experience a plus
Additional experience with video and motion a plus
