What the job is:

Ticketmaster is currently looking for a Staff Accountant to support the Domestic Accounting group with an emphasis on indirect tax.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and file monthly and annual sales and property tax compliance schedules
  • Assist with sales tax audits
  • Respond quickly to tax inquiries from external state/county/city tax authorities
  • Respond timely to inquiries from the field and other departments
  • Handle other accounting functions as needed. 

Activities include:

  • Handle monthly general accounting functions such as journal entries, reconciliations, and account research
  • Analyze and resolve account variances and open items
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly reports
  • Assist in providing information to internal and external auditors
  • Work on special projects as necessary

What a qualified candidate should possess:

  • BS in Finance/Accounting
  • Account reconciliation experience
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
  • Strong analytical and multi-tasking skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Working knowledge of SAP or Oracle a plus
