The role:

 The position is responsible for creating, optimizing and reporting on paid search advertising for the House of Blues book of business. The Media Manager is also responsible for developing and proposing search strategies to enhance campaigns. This role requires a high aptitude within Excel and other reporting systems. The Media Manager will have direct contact with the client and will manage the day-to-day relationship.  The candidate must be able to identify operational bottlenecks and solve them using whatever technology is applicable.

What the job is:

Account Management

  • Build and manage SEM campaigns spanning all of House of Blues' 50+ venues and extra lines of business
  • Maintain a process that allows for the quick and accurate creation of 100+ shows each week
  • Manage budgeting and invoicing
  • Provide strategic insight to develop long and short-term execution plans for new and existing search campaigns
  • Lead regular client status calls.

Program Management

  • Manage search marketing campaigns hands-on by using industry leading SEM and analytics platforms
  • Develop, test, and analyze keywords, ad copy, bidding strategies and landing page URLs to maximize results, drive volume, and reach client goals

Process Improvement

  • Continually evaluate and improve the effectiveness of online campaigns
  • Ensure the timely adjustment of marketing strategy and plans to meet changing market and competitive condition
  • Adopt program management and SEM best practices
  • Stay informed of industry changes and apply them into actionable recommendations

What a qualified candidate should possess:

  • 2+ years of paid search experience 
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other spreadsheet tools. Functions to know but not limited to: VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, graphing. VBA knowledge a plus
  • Expertise gained from hands-on management of SEM programs on Google and Bing
  • Expertise gained from using third-party SEM platforms such as Kenshoo, Marin, DART Search
  • Entertainment/Ticketing industry experience a plus
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritize well, excellent time management 
  • Ability to communicate complicated, technical ideas in a straightforward manner
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
